City Hall Construction Work
Construction to seismically upgrade Victoria's historic City Hall, including the installation of an elevator to improve access to all areas of the building, and a new Development Centre is now complete.
The Development Centre brings together all business and development related inquiries in one area, including Permits and Inspections, Development Services, Engineering, and Business Licensing.
About the Development Centre:
Acting on the recommendations in the City's Economic Development Strategy, developed in consultation with local business leaders, as well as the Customer Service Action Plan, the new Development Centre is designed to improve information and services for residents, businesses and developers doing business in the Capital City. The new Development Centre offers meeting rooms for customers to have private meetings without disruption to others around them, new self-serve kiosks to print forms and information on demand, and more space and access to staff who are assisting developers considering or investing in Victoria. All staff in the Centre have gone through customer service training and work is underway in a number of areas to streamline processes where possible to save time or steps for the customer.
Residents are reminded that, in many instances, you can save yourself a trip to City Hall by accessing services online, including paying for parking tickets, disputing parking tickets, paying utility bills, and accessing tender documents.Go to Top
