    Join us for the Island Farms Victoria Day Parade, Victoria’s largest parade, featuring Canadian and American marching bands, musical floats, cultural entries and festive clowns. Led by the Canadian Forces, this annual event is free and fun for the whole family! The parade runs along Douglas Street, from Finlayson to Belleville Streets.     The 2014 Victoria Book Prize Awards Gala will take place on Wednesday, October 15 at the Union Club of British Columbia. Finalists for the annual $5,000 City of Victoria Butler Book Prize Award and the $5,000 Bolen Books Children's Book Prize Award will read excerpts from their nominated works. The public will have an opportunity to purchase books and have them signed by the authors. Tickets will go on sale in September.
