Feedback on the 2014-2018 Draft Financial Plan

City Council has given preliminary approval to the 2014-2018 Financial Plan and is seeking feedback from the public. A presentation and open house is planned for April 23 at City Hall. Citizens can also submit their feedback online.

  • What:     2014-2018 Presentation of Financial Plan and Open House
  • When:    Wednesday, April 23 from 4 to 8 p.m.
  • Where:  City Hall Antechamber, 1 Centennial Square

An overview of the Financial Plan will be presented at 5 and 7 p.m.

For 2014, Council has given preliminary approval to an overall tax increase of 2.51%. This results in a proposed increase of 2.75% for residential properties ($60 increase for an average residential property) and 2.3% increase for business ($150 increase for a typical business property.)

Parking Services Review:
Tell Us How to Improve Parking Downtown

The City of Victoria recently conducted a review of its parking services to identify ways to make it easier to park downtown and improve customer service. Learn more about the recommended parking changes and the Downtown Parkade Zone Map.

SURVEY - The public can provide feedback on these recommendations and share their thoughts and experiences of parking downtown by completing an online survey by May 2.

OPEN HOUSE - The community is invited to drop by an open house on Friday, April 25 from 8 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at the City Hall Antechamber to view displays and meet with staff to discuss the proposed changes to parking.

All input will be compiled and summarized in a report to City Council in May.
