Tree Appreciation Day

7th Annual Tree Appreciation Day

Sunday, November 4, 2012
10 a.m. - noon
Kings Playlot, 1150 Caledonia Street

Want to help plant trees and shrubs for future generations to enjoy?
Roll up your sleeves and join us for the City of Victoria's Annual Tree Appreciation Day.

Please bring your own tools and gloves as supplies are limited, and dress for the weather as the event will happen rain or shine.

City Parks staff will be on hand to answer your tree questions from tree care to disease prevention techniques.

The 7th Annual Tree Appreciation Day is funded by the City of Victoria in cooperation with CUPE Local 50.

Registration is not required. Complimentary refreshments will be served. As parking is limited, participants are encouraged to walk or ride their bikes to the event.

Many trees in Victoria's urban forest are aging or have been lost to winter storms and disease. Tree Appreciation Day provides an opportunity for members of the community to come together to help replace these trees -- planting a future for generations of citizens to enjoy.

We hope you can join us!
