The City of Victoria, BC Transit and the Burnside Gorge Community Association are hosting a workshop to help ensure the public spaces along the Douglas Street corridor achieve the best possible balance of transportation effectiveness, safety, public realm improvements and minimal impacts to business, residents, and users.
The input from this workshop will be combined with the feedback BC Transit has already received through their engagement to this point in the project and will be an opportunity to further inform and improve the public realm spaces, including the experience for people who walk and travel through the area and with respect to green space and trees.
Date – April 20th
Time – 5:30pm
Location – Burnside-Gorge Community Centre (471 Cecelia Road)
These transit lanes are part of a larger rapid transit connection between downtown Victoria and the Westshore in order to effectively move people to their desired destinations and reduce the effects of increasing congestion in the region.
