As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, the City holds an annual summit with developers, builders, house providers and neighbourhood representatives to improve processes for new development and business in the City.

2017 Development Workshop

On Monday, July 10, 2017, 45 individuals, including developers, architects, builders, housing providers and Community Association Land Use committee members, joined City staff for the annual Development Summit. The event was designed as a workshop, intended to allow participants to dive deeper into City processes to provide better support to new development and business. Following brief presentations from the Mayor and staff with updates on City initiatives, participants workshopped the following four topics:

  • Business Hub: Making business easier in the City
  • Building/electrical/plumbing permits
