Celebrate Victoria's 150th with Three Signature Events

Join us in celebrating Victoria's 150th anniversary at three signature events: the History2Life Family Festival on Sunday, July 29; the 150th Anniversary Public Ceremony and 150Forward Community Celebration on Thursday, August 2, and the City United! Anniversary Celebration Concert on Monday, August 6.
History2Life Family Festival
Sunday, July 29
11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Take a step back in time to explore Victoria's history through interactive activities, costumed performers, storytelling, history tours, and arts and crafts for all ages! Kids will enjoy the Time Traveller Scavenger Hunt and prizes. Free.
150th Anniversary Public Ceremony and 150Forward Community Celebration

150Forward Community Celebration, Noon - 6 p.m.
On Thursday, August 2, the community is invited to attend the 150th Anniversary Public Ceremony followed by the 150Forward Community Celebration in Centennial Square. During the ceremony, Canada Post's Victoria 150 commemorative envelope will be unveiled. Enjoy family-friendly activities, complimentary cake and refreshments, live music, clock tower tours, displays and free give-aways. Bring an archival photo for the "Living Wall", take fun photos, and record a message for the digital Victoria 150 time capsule. Free.
City United! Anniversary Celebration and Concert
Monday, August 6
St. Ann's Academy, Noon - 6 p.m.
Beacon Hill Park Cameron Bandshell, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Celebrate the City's 150th and the United Way of Greater Victoria's 75th anniversaries at a fun, interactive event and evening concert for all ages. Includes children's performers, food vendors, activities, cooking and gardening demonstrations, a farmer's market, chapel tours and the United' Way's "Passport to Possibility". The evening concert features "Digging Roots" with Jon & Roy opening the show. Presented by the City of Victoria and the United Way of Greater Victoria in association with the Provincial Capital Corporation. Free.
