Rail Station Roof to be Moved

In order to make way for the improved road and path alignments with the Johnson Street Bridge project, on Wednesday, November 28, The Victoria Harbour Authority will be moving the rail station roof and other salvageable materials for storage.

On Wednesday evening, the rail station roof and other materials will be lifted onto a low bed truck.  In order to reduce disruptions to traffic flow, the rail station roof and other components will be transported early Thursday morning.

The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority plans to reuse the roof and other building components within future developments at Ogden Point or Fisherman's Wharf. The remaining parts of the rail station will be deconstructed and recycled.
