Residents visiting City Hall can donate to the Red Cross to support victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The Public Service Centre on the first floor of City Hall is accepting donations on behalf of the Red Cross, with tax receipts provided for donations of $25 and over.

Typhoon Haiyan was one of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded, affecting millions and displacing over 600,000 residents.

The Government of Canada will match the donations of individual Canadians until December 9. For more information on the Red Cross relief efforts visit www.redcross.ca.
