Have a Working Smoke Alarm? You May Be Rewarded with Free Domino's Pizza Delivered by Victoria Firefighters
September 30, 2013During Fire Prevention Week, the Victoria Fire Department and Domino's Pizza are partnering to reward a number of Victoria residents who have working smoke alarms in their homes with free pizza.
On Monday, October 7, Wednesday, October 9 and Friday, October 11, when Victoria residents in single family homes, duplexes and townhouses call the Quadra Street Domino's Pizza at 250.405.2848 between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., they may find their pizza is delivered aboard a fire truck.
With the customer's permission, firefighters will arrive by fire truck and inspect household smoke alarms to make sure they are working. Those with functioning smoke alarms will get their pizza for free.
If a home smoke alarm requires new batteries, the firefighters will provide and replace the batteries. The Victoria Fire Department may also arrange for a return visit to install a smoke alarm for residents who require and qualify for free installation.
The Victoria Fire Department will make up to seven of these special deliveries until approximately 10:30 p.m. on each of the three nights. Free pizza orders will be capped at $50 per household.
This is the second year the Victoria Fire Department has partnered with Domino's Pizza in Victoria to reward a number of customers with the potential for a free pizza during Fire Prevention Week. This year's campaign focuses on the prevention of kitchen fires as they are the leading cause of home fires. For more information on Fire Prevention Week, click here.
