ONLINE SURVEY: Provide Feedback on Proposed New Building Bylaw

The City of Victoria’s Building Bylaw sets the standards, processes and requirements for buildings on private property in Victoria. It is used to regulate building permits, the role of the building inspector and owner, and permitting requirements.

The City's current Building Bylaw was last updated in 1993. Over the past 20 years, changes have occurred in building practices and regulation, administrative processes have changed, and best practices have been updated. A new bylaw is being proposed that responds to these changes.

The City is currently collecting feedback from organizations and individuals who may be impacted by the proposed changes from now until Monday, January 19, 2015. Feedback received will help inform the draft Building Bylaw, which will be presented to Council in 2015. Learn more
