Join us for some fun-filled festivities and entertainment downtown this Christmas!
All events are FREE and will take place rain, shine or snow!

50th Annual Carolling Week
November 30 – December 4 (Except Thursday, December 3) Victoria City Hall, Antechamber, noon – 1 p.m. (Sing-along 12:45 p.m. – 1 p.m.)
Bring out the joyful spirit of the season by listening – or even singing along – to Christmas carols performed by Greater Victoria schools and special guests at Victoria City Hall. Ron Berod will return on keyboard and Al Ferraby of CFAX 1070 will be Master of Ceremonies.

Monday and Friday’s sing-along will feature local celebrity 11-year-old Lily Cave well known for her anthem performances at Victoria sports events or busking around downtown Victoria. Most recently Lily sang the Can Canadian anthem in Centennial Square for the City’s returning Pan Am and ParaPan Am games athletes. Lily is also one of last year’s Vancouver X-Mas Factor winners and is honored to lend her voice to Victoria’s own singing celebration for the holiday season.
Performing at Tuesday and Wednesday’s sing-along is Vancouver Island jazz and blues recording artist Maureen Washington.
Complimentary tea, hot chocolate, oranges and candy canes will be served.
Ferris Wheel in Centennial Square
Saturday, November 28 – Sunday, December 20 Fridays 5 – 9 p.m. Saturdays noon – 9 p.m. Sundays noon – 7 p.m.
During the three weeks of festivities, catch a ride on the DVBA Ferris wheel. See the dazzling holiday lights from 20 metres up. Rides are $2. Children must be two years of age and at least 92 centimetres (3 feet) tall.
8th Annual Christmas Tree Light-up
Saturday, November 28
4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thanks for joining us for another fun, festive event in Centennial Square as 75,000 festive LED lights simultaneously illuminated the Giant sequoia tree and the Square. Many thanks to the Downtown Victoria Business Association, musical performers and restaurants that participated in the annual tradition before the Island Farms Santa Light Parade.
