City of Victoria's Written Evidence Submitted Regarding Proposed Kinder Morgan Pipeline Expansion

The City of Victoria has recently submitted its Written Evidence, regarding the proposed expansion of the Trans Mountain Pipeline, to the National Energy Board.

The submission includes key findings from the public engagement program, concerns with the National Energy Board Hearing Process, concerns regarding potential environmental, social and economic impacts of an oil spill for Victoria and concerns relating to potential spill response.  It also contains the position expressed by Victoria City Council on April 30, 2015 that the City opposes the proposed Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Project in light of the substantial risk to the economy and ecology.

The Submission of Evidence can be viewed  on the National Energy Board's website here.   You can also view the submission here: Complete City of Victoria Evidence Submission.pdf [PDF - 2.3 MB]
