Half-Masting for National Day of Mourning

The Canadian flags on all City buildings will be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, April 28 for the National Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or injured in the Workplace (Workers’ Mourning Day).

This national memorial day gives Canadians an opportunity each year to remember workers killed, disabled or injured in the workplace, and workers afflicted with industrial disease.

A ceremony to recognize the occasion will be held at 11 a.m. on the front steps of the Legislature Building.
