Have Your Say on 25-Year Plan for Victoria's Parks
December 2, 2016
Do you want to see more markets and festivals in parks? More picnic spaces, or quiet, solitary seating? Should we focus on accessibility of waterfront green spaces, dog parks, new play spaces?
This summer, the City asked the community what is important when planning for the future of City parks and open spaces. Based on your input, a draft vision along with goals and actions to support this 25-year plan have been developed.
The City is now looking for the community’s feedback through an online survey open until Monday, December 5. Complete the online survey here.
Topics range from balancing social, recreational and quiet spaces, increasing accessibility, introducing new amenities in existing parks, preserving natural areas and bringing more arts and events into our open spaces.
Your feedback will inform the Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan that will be presented to City Council in early 2017.
