INFORMATION MEETING: Proposed Changes to Management of Gorge Waterway

The City of Victoria is proposing changes to the management of the Gorge Waterway to enhance the use of the Selkirk Water for recreation and to prohibit residential use and the storage of vessels.

The City and members of the community are concerned about the negative impacts that unregulated marine activities are having on the marine environment and Victoria residents.

We would like to share the changes being considered at an information meeting on:

Friday, February 12, 2016
11 a.m.
Victoria West Community Centre, Gymnasium
521 Craigflower Road

The proposed changes will be presented in a report to City Council on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Copies of the report will be available at the meeting on February 12 and online here. Should the recommended changes be approved, there will be further public consultation including a community meeting in March.

A letter of invitation [PDF - 721 KB] has been mailed to the neighbouring community inviting them to attend the information meeting.
