Monday September 12 - A Tale of Two Cities

On Monday, September 12 please join the City and the Greater Victoria Placemaking Network in welcoming Mike Fisher to City Hall for A Tale of Two Cities: Rebuilding Christchurch NZ and How Placemaking Revitalized Adelaide, AUS.

Mike Fisher of Urban Tacticians has worked in placemaking (creating spaces that people want to be in), urban regeneration and planning across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Mike was Placemaking Coordinator and acting Manager of City Planning and Development in Adelaide, where he led the implementation of the Australian city's bold Placemaking Strategy.

In Christchurch, New Zealand, Mike was Team Leader of Urban Regeneration after the earthquakes of 2010 and 2011. There, he led a range of community-led, creative placemaking projects to bring life back to the city.
