Share your bright ideas on the Arts and Culture Master Plan Advisory Group! Victoria City Council is looking for 12 individuals to sit on the advisory group, to provide expertise and knowledge in arts, culture and heritage to build community connections and encourage broad participation from the community.

About the Arts and Culture Master Plan Advisory Group

The Arts and Culture Master Plan Advisory Group purpose is to research and provide advice and direction to City Council and staff on the planning, development and implementation on the Arts and Culture Master Plan. The Advisory Group will also serve as community ambassadors to actively promote public involvement in the planning process and act as a sounding board to assist staff during the engagement phase of the project. 

Completing and Submitting an Application

Applications must be received by March 14 at 4 p.m.  Completed, signed applications can be submitted:

  • in person to the Legislative Services office on the first floor of City Hall
  • by mail to the City Clerk, City of Victoria, 1 Centennial Square, Victoria, BC, V8W 1P6
  • by email to legislativeservices@victoria.ca
  • by fax to 250.361.0348

Criteria for the Arts and Culture Master Plan Advisory Group

  • Willingness and ability to commit to the necessary time over a two year period
  • Commitment and interest in the planning, development and implementation of the Arts and Culture Master Plan 
  • Skills and experience related to roles and responsibilities in arts, culture and heritage delivery
  • Individuals who possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of team
  • Leadership skills and ability to serve as an ambassador and commitment to actively promote the engagement and
    development of the plan
  • Individuals who live, work, own property or a business in the City of Victoria
