TC10K and Thrifty Foods Family Run Route and Road Closures on Sunday, April 24

The 27th Annual TC10K will take place on Sunday, April 24, 2016. This year there is a 10K and a 1.5K Family Run.

TC10K Route and Road Closures

The TC10K starts at 7:55 a.m. for wheelchair athletes and has a staggered start at 8 a.m. depending on participants' estimated completion times.

The TC10K route begins at Government and Belleville Streets and heads north on Government/Wharf to Johnson, east on Johnson, south on Vancouver, east on Richardson, south on Moss, east on May, south on Memorial to Dallas Road. The course then continues along Dallas Road, finishing in front of the Legislative Buildings.

The start/finish area at Government and Belleville Streets, and Government from Superior to Humboldt Streets, will be closed from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 24.

All intersections along the race route will be closed. Roads inside the race route will remain open but motorists will be directed by the police when it is safe to cross (until the roads re-open). Pedestrians will still be able to cross the race course but should expect some delays.

There will be no on-street parking on the race route from 4 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Sunday, April 24.  All vehicles parked on the race route during this timeframe will be towed at the owner’s expense. Signs will be posted.

All streets on the race course will be closed as of 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 24. The current race course provides rolling openings of roadways as soon as the last runners pass various points along the route.  Re-opening times will vary per location. The following is a list of approximate opening times:

Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run Route and Road Closures

The Thrifty Foods 1.5K Family Run starts at 11 a.m. at Government and Bellville Streets. Participants head south on Government to Superior, turn right on Superior to Oswego, right on Oswego to Belleville, and along Belleville to the finish line. Roads will be opened behind the last participant. Superior Street will be partially closed from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Oswego Street will be closed from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
