Fire service officers from across British Columbia will gather in Victoria next week for the annual BC Fire Expo and FCABC Education Summit (June 3 - 7, 2018). This year's theme is "Respect the Past, Lead the Present and Secure the Future".

The BC Fire Expo runs Sunday and Monday at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, where chief officers and firefighters will see the latest innovations in firefighting tools and technology. Delegates will have the opportunity to participate in workshops on topics ranging from leadership to mental wellness. The conference and expo are not open to the public.

This is is the second time Victoria has hosted the BC Fire Chiefs' Conference, which last visted the Capital City in 2014.

The Fire Chiefs' Association of British Columbia (FCABC) strives to represent the BC fire service in its dealings with government and the public. It is an advocate for the fire service, working with government and standards organizations to improve fire protection for citizens and visitors to British Columbia. The FCABC also functions as a unifying force, providing a forum for its members along with mentorship programs and education forums to ensure they have appropriate training and support for their many roles.
