Dockside Green is an area of 6.05 hectares (15 acres) of land in Victoria. BC. It is located in the Victoria West neighbourhood across two bridges that link the neighbourhood to the downtown core. This development is being built on a remediated brownfield site and is targeting to be 1st LEED™ Platinum sustainable community in North America. Anticipated completion date is 2015.

On this page you will find a complete listing of all the public process documentation that has been created. The documents have been divided into 2 sections:

The Planning phase was completed in September, 2005. The major documents created during this time were the Master Development Agreement - [PDF 336KB], the Design Guidelines - [PDF 3.6MB], the Development Concept - [PDF 2.6MB] and the Business Case. During the Implementation phase there are new strategies and annual reports being produced. They are being posted here as they become available.

The ongoing monitoring of this project is of great concern to the City. We are interested to see, based on the outputs of the project, what kind of impact this kind of development will have on both the city and the surrounding region. To that end, we have developed a set of performance indicators that will measure the goals and outcomes of the project. The indicators have been put into a piece of software that will allow anyone to see instantly where the development is in terms of meeting the ambitious goals. You can view the indicators by clicking on the image below. The indicators will begin to be populated six months after occupancy by 300 residents. We anticipate this to occur by Spring, 2010.
