ParksThe Parks Division is one of the three divisions within the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. Parks is responsible for maintaining, planning and developing all park facilities in the City of Victoria. The Division's operational headquarters is situated at the northeast corner of Beacon Hill Park at the end of Nursery Road. The Division has two main sections: Operations, and Design and Development. In addition to horticulture, arboriculture, park construction, repair and maintenance, the Parks Division is responsible for design/landscape architecture, greenway development, integrated pest management, sports field management and the Ross Bay Cemetery. The Parks Division cares for ornamental gardens, natural ecosystems, sport and entertainment venues and playgrounds for recreational and cultural enjoyment, and preserves and enhances green spaces on public lands, including over 70 City parks.
