Q. May I opt out of or be reinstated in the Boulevard Tax roll?

Q. Will the Parks Division Pick Up My Leaves in the Fall?
A. The Parks Division conducts a residential leaf pick-up program during November/December each year. This year, the leaf-pickup will begin on November 15th.
Q. May I Purchase the Composted Leaf Mulch From the Parks Division?
A. Unfortunately, no. Currently, the composted leaves are being fully used in parks and flower beds around the City.
Q. Does the Parks Division Pick Up Residential Branches?
A. The Parks division conducts a residential branch pick-up program the spring of each year. Once the 2008 program dates have been determined, they will be posted on the website.
Q. May I Drop Off Yard and Garden Waste at the Parks Yard?
A. Yard and garden waste (branches, vines, leaves, grass or compost. NO rocks, stumps or items greater than 2m (6 feet) in length or 5cm (2 inches) in diameter) may be dropped off at the Public Works Yard, 417 Garbally Road Saturdays from 7am to 2pm only. As of September 1, 2007 Garden Waste is free, you will need to provide proof of City of Victoria residency. The cost for Garbage Drop-Off is $14.00 for a car load and $32.00 for a pick-up load. For more information, please call the Public Works Yard at 250.361.0417 between 8am and 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
Q. When is the Beacon Hill Farmyard Open?
A. The Farmyard is generally open from Spring Break until the Thanksgiving weekend, 10 am till 4 pm in the spring and fall and 10am till 5pm from May 1 to Labour Day (weather permitting). Please phone the Farmyard at (250) 381-2532 for if you require further details.
