Departments > Planning & Development > What's New - Current Projects > Public Washroom Program > Anti-Public Urination Awareness Campaign Anti-Public Urination Awareness Campaign The Anti-Public Urination Awareness Campaign is designed to encourage males between 20-30 years of age, from urinating on outdoor public and private property, to using public washroom facilities. The campaign was first implemented during a three-month, portable urinal pilot project, in the spring of 2007.
A series of four posters were placed in men's washrooms in downtown bars and cabarets as well as at the University of Victoria and Camosun College campuses. The new Public Washroom Program builds on this campaign, with the provision of additional posters, advertising and ongoing work with the bar and cabaret community. |
