The City of Victoria Zoning bylaws and regulations are intended to to ensure appropriate use of land, and future land development. This will ensure that the City grows, develops, and functions in a way that meets the needs of the community now, and into the future.
The Zoning Bylaw is the main document that regulates what a property can be used for, the density of development, and the size and siting of all buildings. The zoning bylaw also regulates house conversions, secondary suites and off-street parking.
This contains other important information that accompanies the zones. Please read carefully.
Below you find a list of all the zones contained in the Zoning Bylaw. For convenience the most common zones that apply to multiple properties are listed first. An alphabetical list follows.
