Mayor's Task Force – Belleville Terminal

In March 2007, then Mayor Lowe struck a blue ribbon task force to make recommendations for future development of the Belleville Street Terminal on the inner harbour. Task force members were charged with developing a sustainable, market-driven financial model for the site. Meeting over a three month period, the task force heard submissions from stakeholders such as customs officials, vessel operators, architects and public officials.

The Belleville Terminal Task Force has now presented its vision and recommendations to Mayor and Council for their review and consideration. The Provincial Government is also currently reviewing the Task Force report and, as the owner of the land, will play a key role in any future redevelopment of the site.
