Recipe for Disaster Series

The City of Victoria has developed the Recipe for Disaster series to help prepare residents and small businesses with the knowledge, supplies and a plan to cope for three days in the event of a disaster.

Learn how to prepare a Pet Disaster Kit for each of your pets and create an evacuation plan in the event you are away from home when an emergency occurs. Proper pet identification is key to reuniting lost pets with their families after a disaster.

The three Recipes for Disaster are easy to follow and are best prepared in advance.

Where to Find the Recipes

The Recipe for Disaster series is available at Victoria City Hall, local community and senior centres, libraries and other venues in Victoria.

The Prepare Your Pet Recipe for Disaster is also available at the SPCA, pet stores, groomers, kennels and pet daycares in Victoria, as well as at Victoria City Hall and other community venues.

The Downtown Victoria Business Association also distributes the Prepare at Work recipe to local merchants.
