Labour Day Holiday
To recognize Labour Day, the City of Victoria will be following the holiday schedule below.

Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre
The Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre will be closed for annual maintenance from Monday, September 6 to Sunday, September 26, 2010. The facility will reopen on Monday, September 27 at 5:30 a.m. During the closure, registration for activities listed in the 2010 Fall/2011 Winter Active Living Guide is available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Centre or by telephone at 250.361.0732.
Garbage Collection
Garbage collection will not occur on Monday, September 6, 2010. For garbage collection schedules, click here.
Public Works Yard - Garbage and Garden Waste Drop-Off
City of Victoria residents can drop off their garbage and garden waste, year-round at the Public Works Yard at 417 Garbally Road, Saturdays from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. Proof of residency is required in the form of a valid driver's licence. This service is not for commercial use. For more information, call (250) 361-0400.
Emergency Streets and Utilities Services
Emergency streets and utility services are not affected by the holiday and can be contacted day or night at (250) 385-5711.
Parking
Parking at street meters and City parkades will be free on Monday, September 6, 2010. Pay parking is in effect 24/7 at City surface parking lots, including Sundays and statutory holidays. For more information, click here.
