777 Douglas Street: Application for a New Liquor Primary Licence for The Humboldt (Downtown)
An application to the Liquor Licensing Agency for a new Liquor Primary Licence for The Humboldt at 777 Douglas Street with hours of operation from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily and an occupant load of 46 people, has been endorsed by City Council. 

Electric Vehicle Charging User Fee
Council directed staff to bring forward for introductory readings:

  1. Amendments to the Streets and Traffic Bylaw for the establishment and regulation of an electric vehicle charging zone, and collection of a fee for EV charging on city streets
  2. A new bylaw, City Parkades Electric Vehicle Charging Fees Bylaw for collection of a fee for EV charging in City parkades and surface parking lots.

Revenue from fees collected from these bylaws will be placed in the Climate Action Reserve Fund to support continued investment in EV charging infrastructure

Festival Investment Grants
Council approved the allocation of $283,749 in cash and up to $159,450 in-kind City services to the City’s Festival Investment Grants for 2020. This year, the intent is to increase recipients’ capacity to adapt to pay artists, innovate in order to connect audiences to cultural content during the time of COVID.
