Request to Address Council

COVID-19 Update:

Following updated guidance issued on September 10, 2021, there is a maximum allowable capacity for public in-person participation permitted in the Council Chamber for Council meetings  under the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) Order on Gatherings and Events. 

We continue to encourage public participation via telephone or pre-recorded video during COVID-19 to assist in limiting contact with others. This is also the most efficient way to speak to Council. 

Masks are mandatory for people ages five and up in all indoor public spaces, even if you are vaccinated, until further notice. 

Staff will respond to your form submission with further details.

How to Submit a Request to Address Council

There are four ways to submit your form to Legislative Services:

  1. OnlineComplete the request online
  2. In Person: See the Ambassador in City Hall Lobby who will contact staff in Legislative Services to assist with a hard copy to fill out by hand.

Complete and submit your request to address Council to Legislative Services by 11:00 a.m. on the Wednesday the day before the scheduled meeting. To ensure the Council receives your submission with their full agenda package, please submit it by 4:30 p.m. on the Monday two weeks before the Council meeting.  Requests received after this time will be added to the Amended Agenda produced the Wednesday immediately prior to the Council meeting.
