How do I apply for a position with the City of Victoria?

Applicants are responsible to ensure that their application is received by the closing date identified on the posting and quote the competition number. Please note that having the minimum qualifications does not mean you will be short listed for the position. All applicants are considered on qualifications, experience, skill and ability to perform the work in question.
Will I be asked to provide proof of qualifications?
Proof of job qualifications such as certificates, diplomas or drivers license will be required if selected for an interview.
Does the City conduct testing?
Testing to verify qualifications and knowledge may be required and applicants will be notified prior to an interview.
When is a criminal record check conducted?
As part of the recruitment process, positions that work with children directly or have potentially unsupervised access to children, will be required to provide a criminal record check prior to an offer of employment.
How can I find out about the status of a position I applied for?
The recruitment process may take approximately three to six weeks from the closing date. Please note, only those applicants who have been short listed for interviews are notified.
