BC Day Holiday Hours and Parking

City of Victoria facilities will be observing the holiday schedule below for the BC Day long weekend. Police, fire and those who provide emergency streets and utility services are available 24/7.

Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre
Beacon Hill Park Maintenance Yard
Public Works Yard
Victoria Conference Centre and Administration Office

Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre
The Crystal Pool and Fitness Centre will be closed on Monday, August 1 for BC Day.

Kitchen Scraps and Garbage Collection
Kitchen Scraps and Garbage collection will not occur on Monday, August 1. View your Kitchen Scraps and Garbage Collection Schedule.

Saturday Garden Waste Drop-Off
On Saturday, July 30, the Garden Waste Drop-Off at the Public Works Yard will be open from 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Learn more about this residential service. 

Emergency Streets and Utilities Services
Emergency streets and utility services are not affected by the holiday and can be contacted day or night at 250.361.0400.

Parking
Parking downtown at on-street meters and at City parkades will be free on Monday, August 1 for BC Day. City parkades are free all day on Sundays. On-street parking continues to be FREE from 6 p.m.–9 a.m. and all day on holidays Learn more about parking downtown.

Consider taking BC Transit downtown or cycle to the City’s new Downtown Bike Valet located at Victoria City Hall operating daily (10 a.m.-6:30 p.m. on holidays) bike parking options.
