Canadian Flag to Fly at Half-Mast to Mark National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

The Canadian flag will be flown at half-mast at City Hall today to recognize the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women – a day to remember those who have experienced gender-based violence and those who we have lost to it; it is also a time to take action.

Now, more than ever, we need to work together to help prevent and address gender-based violence by remembering and learning from our past, listening to survivors and speaking up against harmful behaviour.
