Inaugural Council Meeting on November 3 at 10 a.m.

The inaugural meeting of the new City of Victoria Council took place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 3. 

The Mayor and Council Elect were led into Council Chambers by the Lekwungen Traditional Dancers and a land acknowledgement was conducted by Songhees Nation Councillor Margaret Charlie.  

The Honourable Regional Administrative Judge Carmen Rogers administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected Mayor and eight Council members, after which Mayor Marianne Alto delivered an Inaugural Address. 

A short reception followed in the Antechamber.
