March 21 is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. We are committed to ending racism, promoting respect, protection and fulfillment of human rights and making Victoria a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone is accepted and feels like they belong.

Informed by community input, the City of Victoria developed a Welcoming City Strategy to serve as a roadmap to remove barriers to City services and foster a compassionate and neighbourly community where all residents are encouraged to participate in civic life. Learn more.
