Procession and Commemorative Service for Queen Elizabeth II

The Province of British Columbia will hold a ceremonial procession and commemorative service for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, September 19, 2022, in Victoria.

The ceremonial procession will start at 10:15 a.m. from the B.C. Parliament Buildings, 501 Belleville Street. The procession will walk down the east driveway past the Cenotaph, head north along Government Street, turn east on Fort Street and then make its way south on Quadra Street to Christ Church Cathedral, 930 Burdett Avenue.

The procession will include the Honourable Janet Austin, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, Premier John Horgan, members of the Canadian Armed Forces, as well as Mayor Lisa Helps and other dignitaries to follow. A 21-gun salute will take place on Belleville Street.

The provincial multi-faith commemorative service at Christ Church Cathedral will begin at 11 a.m. The service is open to the public, however, seating is limited. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The service will be available by livestream on the Christ Church Cathedral website.
