Victoria Reconciliation Dialogues Available Online
September 20, 2022
Thank you to all those who joined us for the Victoria Reconciliation Dialogues in person and online. The seven-part series of community conversations began on September 30, 2019 and took a break due to the pandemic, returning this year.
Guided by members of the City Family and special guests, the Victoria Reconciliation Dialogues provide opportunities for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to come together to share their ideas and stories and explore how we as a community can make the culture, history and modern reality of local Indigenous Peoples present and apparent throughout the city – and understood and valued in people’s everyday lives.
The format of each Dialogue varies and may include storytelling, discussion and other forms of learning, with each conversation being approximately 2.5 hours in length. Each Dialogue includes an Indigenous welcome by the Songhees Nation and a witness ceremony at the end.
We invite you to learn more.
