The City's new Climate Champions Program is a network of champions to share ideas, undertake partnerships, and encourage fun and innovative climate action among residents and businesses to reduce the community’s greenhouse gas emissions. The Climate Champions program is citizen led and City supported.
Climate Champions Meet-Ups
Meet-ups will be held on the following Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Council Chambers at Victoria City Hall. Complimentary refreshments will be served. An RSVP is not required and anyone can attend.

10 Principles of the City’s Climate Leadership Plan
The Climate Champions Program will enable people to take meaningful actions in their homes, workplaces, and neighbourhoods to bring the 10 Principles of the City's Climate Leadership Plan to life, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and build community resilience.
The 10 Principles of the City’s Climate Leadership Plan include:
1) Lead and inspire
2) Harmonize climate action to secure co-benefits
3) Universal accountability
4) Make energy visible
5) Evidence-based decisions
6) Renewable energy for all
7) Dismantle barriers
8) Climate resilience is developed early
9) Think globally, change locally, partner regionally
