Summer in the Square

Enjoy FREE lunchtime and evening concerts and events in Centennial Square during Summer in the Square.

Summer in the Square

Check out all that's planned this summer in Centennial Square!

Lunchtime Concerts

Bring your lunch and some sunscreen and soak up some sun and free tunes this summer. From classical to world beat, folk to jazz and baroque to blues, there's something for everyone. Join us for free Lunchtime Concerts in the Square, Tuesday - Thursday from July to early September from noon - 1 p.m.

Eventide Music Series

Join us Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in July and August for the Eventide Music Series. Eventide, (pronounced “even-tide”) is the old name for “evening”, and was chosen to reflect the timing of the concerts in Centennial Square. This free concert series highlights Victoria’s eclectic local music scene featuring sounds that may or may not be described as “idiosyncratic, post angular, electro gypsy shoegaze, with a twist of twee folk, and psychedelic freak-space pop”.

The Eventide Music Series is presented by the City of Victoria in partnership with CFUV Community Campus Radio, with support from the Downtown Victoria Business Association. For more

Fridays in the Square

Kick off your weekend with local brews, food trucks and live music on Fridays, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Centennial Square. We've partnered with Victoria Beer Week Society to offer an all-ages beverage area with great music by local groups and a different food truck each week.

Community Programming

Centennial Square is home to a variety of free community programming that celebrates music, dance, culture and crafts. Drop-in dance lessons, craft workshops, choir workshops, giant board games and more are open to all ages and all abilities this summer from June to September.

NOTE: The September 5 Spin Class in the Square has been CANCELLED. We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause.
