Public Art Opportunities for Artists

Be sure to read each Call to Artists carefully for eligibility criteria and submission requirements.

Current Opportunities

Mural Roster

The City of Victoria would like to add to it’s roster of pre-qualified, artists to be available for mural opportunities between April 2023 and October 2025.

This Roster helps streamline the City’s process for selecting artists for City projects and helps to connect artists with local businesses and organizations looking to enhance their exterior walls with a mural. It will also assist the City in connecting a neighbourhood association or school with an artist to coordinate a community mural project.

A Selection Panel will choose the approved artists within this competition. Submissions to the Mural Roster will be assessed on an artist’s unique visual storytelling style, their experience creating dynamic murals, collaborating with the community and working on complex mural projects. Artists who are selected for the roster will be included on the City’s Mural Roster webpage.

Eligibility

The competition is open to mural artists who are current residents of Western Canada (Albera & British Columbia).
