Harris Green
The Harris Green neighbourhood serves as a gateway to downtown, and provides an alternative to suburban living.
To the west, Harris Green is adjacent to downtown with its shared boundary running between Blanshard and Quadra Streets. Harris Green's proximity to the city centre, access to transit and its urban streetscape make it a desirable place to live for many downtown commuters. Its central location provides an alternative to suburban living and decreases car-dependency.
The Harris Green Village serves as a commercial and social hub, stemming from a major beautification initiative that occurred in the late 1990's. The village includes a diverse array of amenities including a local grocery store, restaurants, cafes and specialty shops.
