A bustling neighbourhood at the edge of the core.
What Our Neighbourhood Looks Like
North Park is a growing neighbourhood to the northeast of the downtown. Here you will find an eclectic blend of activity, from fabrication shops and single family homes to urban gardens and art studios. It’s an architecturally diverse neighbourhood with historic churches, popular eateries and hip retail shops.
North Park is the recreation centre of the city, including the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre, home to the Victoria Royals WHL team and Royal Athletic Park which features the Victoria Harbour Cats baseball team and the acclaimed Rifflandia music festival. The neighbourhood will also be the site of the new Crystal Pool Centre scheduled for construction in 2019.
Central Park is North Park’s largest public park, hosting Crystal Pool as well as outdoor playground, sport courts and a baseball diamond. Franklin Green is a small park in the southeast corner of the neighbourhood, with a pickle ball court, playground equipment and a new community garden.
Royal Athletic Park is a dedicated event venue that is open to the public when activities are scheduled.
