TEDxVictoria 2014 is November 22
November 5, 2014
November 22, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the McPherson Playhouse
This year’s theme is “Pursuit of Knowledge”. Participate in a mind-expanding, informative and inspirational exchange of ideas with an international and Pacific Northwest roster of speakers.
Hosted by Missie Peters and Dave Morris, this year’s TEDxVictoria features 18 guest speakers and performers, and aims to travel outside the McPherson’s walls into multiple Viewing Parties. A range of organizations, including nonprofits, libraries and education institutions, will offer a free, live webcast of the day’s talks, making the TEDxVictoria experience available to those unable to attend in person.
The McPherson Playhouse mezzanine will be transformed into a Conversation Lounge, designed specifically for the free flow of ideas, conversation, and engagement. “Soap Box Sessions” will be hosted in this space during the 5 to 10 minute lead-up to each TEDxVictoria session of the day.
Are you interested in connecting with your community? Social entrepreneurship? Being a change leader? Social Innovators Network will be facilitating conversation and connection in the Conversation Space. Following each session, TEDxVictoria’s speakers and performers will be available in the Conversation Space for those interested in pursuing more knowledge.
Regular tickets are $89 and Donor Tickets are $129; available at the McPherson Box Office (3 Centennial Square) and online. Additionally, a limited number of discounted tickets are available for those who qualify as “in need”. For more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The City of Victoria is pleased to be a sponsor of the TEDxVictoria 2014: Pursuit of Knowledge.
