Work By Fortis BC Will Restrict Galloping Goose Trail At Times
April 1, 2016
Starting next week short sections of the Galloping Goose Trail near the Point Ellice Bridge (Bay Street Bridge) will be reduced in width in order for Fortis BC to safely work on gas lines underneath the bridge. The trail will remain open at all times, but in some areas near the bridge people riding bikes and people walking will need to use caution as the normally wide trail will be narrowed.
Signage will be placed leading up to the areas and more signage at the location of the work will help guide people through the area, but all users are asked to use caution and stay aware of their surroundings when travelling in the area. The work is expected to take six weeks to complete and the general hours of work are between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.Go to Top
