Art as Ceremony Celebration is Saturday, September 9

Indigenous Artist in Residence Lindsay Delaronde is hosting the "Art as Ceremony Celebration" to showcase the artwork created by a group of six artists from Our Place community.

Join us on Saturday, September 9 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at City Hall to view the exhibit, meet the artists and celebrate the artwork.

The evening will open with a welcome by Delaronde and a performance by ANSWER drum group. A slideshow will follow and there will be opportunities to speak with the artists. Complimentary light snacks and beverages will be provided. 

The artwork showcased was created over the course of 10 workshop sessions led by Delaronde and will include cornhusk dolls, medicine pouches, drawings, collage, silk-screen printing, clay and moccasins.
The "Art as Ceremony" exhibit will be on display at City Hall from Monday, September 11 to Friday, September 15 and will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
