Deadline Extended for Call for Creative Programming Proposals
February 20, 2017
NOTE: The deadline for submissions has been extended to midnight on Monday, February 27, 2017.
Have a great idea for an activity at Centennial Square or the Beacon Hill Park Cameron Bandshell? The call for creative programming proposals is now open. The City is seeking creative proposals to program activities at these two venues on an ongoing basis from May to September 2017 for the community to enjoy.
Focus areas can include art, culture, wellness, culinary, children’s or recreation programming. Examples of previous activities are ballroom and salsa dancing, board games, markets and fitness classes.
Activities can be weekly or on a monthly basis and be anywhere from one to five months in duration. All programs must be free and open to the public. Proposals for one-time events or festivals will not be accepted.
A small budget will be available to cover costs associated with materials, production and instruction fees, which are to be outlined in the submission.
Event programmers are invited to submit the fillable application form available online and email it to email@example.com with samples of their work by midnight on Monday, February 27, 2017.
Submissions will be evaluated based on their broad appeal, innovation and creativity, focus area and the applicant’s track record in delivering activities to the community. Preference will be given to applicants who reside in the Capital Region. Submissions will be reviewed by a City staff team and successful applicants will be contacted in early March.Go to Top
