To kick off National Emergency Preparedness Week, join us at the Emergency Preparedness Fair on Sunday at the Juan de Fuca 55 Plus Activity Centre and parking lot. Emergency Management Victoria and organizations from around the Capital Region will be showcasing emergency vehicles, equipment and providing helpful information on how you and your family can be prepared for an emergency.

Drop by the Emergency Management display booth to learn more and ask questions. We'll be demonstrating our unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and explaining its role in an emergency response. We'll also conduct a search dog demonstration.

National Emergency Preparedness Week is held annually the first week of May and is designed to raise awareness of the importance of having an emergency kit and making an emergency plan. This year's theme is Plan. Prepare. Be Aware. It is meant to help Canadians take action to protect themselves and their families during emergencies.
