4:33 a.m. UPDATE: Tsunami Warning Has Ended for Victoria Area
The tsunami warning for Victoria has ended. The evacuation alert has been lifted for all of Juan de Fuca Strait, Jordan River to Victoria.
This is a TSUNAMI WARNING
A tsunami warning is in effect for coastal areas of British Columbia.
If you are in a tsunami warning area, evacuate 2 blocks inland or to higher ground, or to the upper floors of a multi-story building depending on your situation.
Move out of the water, off the beach and away from harbours, marinas, breakwaters, bays and inlets.
Waves are expected to reach Victoria at approximately 5:50 a.m.
