Canadian Flags at Half-Mast April 28: Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace

The Canadian flag will be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, April 28 on all City establishments to mark the Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace (Workers' Mourning Day).

The Canadian flag on all Government of Canada buildings across the country and provincial buildings across BC will also be flown at half-mast.

About Day of Mourning

Across Canada, April 28 has been designated the Day of Mourning, dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives, or suffered injury or illness on the job due to a work-related tragedy.
