We Need Your Input

The City of Victoria is seeking the community’s feedback on its Draft 2020 Financial Plan. The proposed plan allocates $258.7 million to operate the City’s more than 200 programs and services and invests $42.1 million in capital infrastructure projects.

The City’s annual budget enables Council to achieve its 2019-2022 Strategic Plan objectives, including Affordable Housing, Economic Prosperity and Inclusion, Climate Leadership and Environmental Stewardship, and more.

The community is invited to attend the City of Victoria’s Budget Town Hall to ask questions and give feedback on the Draft 2020 Budget.

The event will be interactive and webcast live. The public can provide questions and comments:

  • in person at City Hall
  • by filling out an online form (in advance or during the event)
  • via Twitter using #victownhall
  • or by telephone at 250.361.0327 (only during the event)

Sign language interpreters will be in attendance.

Online Survey

How the City invests tax dollars is one of the most important decisions in the community each year. The public is invited to provide direction on the City’s Draft 2020 Budget by completing an online survey by Sunday, November 24. Survey now closed.

The City of Victoria Youth Council invites local youth to participate in the Budget Town Hall Youth Night from 6 - 8:30 p.m. at the Quadra Village Community Centre at 901 Kings Road. Youth are encouraged to get involved and be heard in real time during the City's Budget Town Hall. The event will include free pizza and refreshments. Register now.
